HISTORY

"Wustefest became a sign of things to come in the Southwest Euro community as 130 Euros traveled to Las Vegas, NV for a weekend filled with the typical Vegas activities, along with a drive and a car show. In its inaugural year, the three-day event was organized by SoCal car club, Pure Euro. With the help from sponsors Finley VW, Polizie Clothing, Graphicsworks, Blacksheep Performance, and TKO Motorwerks, the event was virtually free except for lodging, gas and "recreational" expenses.

The event started 150 ,iles southwest of Las Vegas in Barstow, CA, where the NorCal and SoCal drivers met for a final caravan to Sin City. After a short cruise along the Strip, the group checked into the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casiono, where they partied all night long. The event wasn't just about wild nights and gambling, though. The next morning, Wustefest participatnts gathered for a BBQ and drive up Mt. Charleston. The one-hour drive offered some twisty roads and beautiful photo opportunities for the gruop. It was also cooler in the mountains, since the temperature in the city exceeded 100*. That night, the Wustefest gang headed back to the Strip of a VIP party. On Sunday, a show and shine event was help at Sunset Park, with the help of Finley VW. The top five cars were awarded trophies and everybody enjoyed a complimentary BBQ. Pure Euro represetnative Brandon Chasin concluded, "Wustefest started out as a SoCal-to-Vegas troud trip. We came out to party and meet new friends but never wanted it to be a car show."
